Widening - Mr. Ilacqua said the Committee met 1VIay 3 and unanimously recommended
for approval those items in the memo of May 3 from Tom Evans. We worked on this quite a bit.
It entails the essential roadway landscaping footprint for the project and ties in some pretty firm
numbers; the estimated cost of the SOM landscaping is $270,000. The O.D.O.T. funding
application included a$236,000 budget for roadway landscape, quite a number of trees--various
types and sizes of trees have all been taken into account. Until the road is widened and
completed, this will be put on a back burner but we need it incorporated into the overall scheme.
That will be on tonight's agenda --- (he had circulated this a few weeks ago in Council's packet.)
The Committee also requested from URS Corp. some form of site map detailing our options
regarding lighting of S.O.M. Center Road. We would like to see exactly where the poles would
be, the number of poles and what that would look like. We will view that map at our next
meeting--June 19 at 7:00 p.m.
