Regular Council Meeting <br />6-18-01 <br />Page 2 <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker introduced Bill Riter, a new member to the Recreation Board. Mayor Rinker <br />administered the oath of office to Bill Riter. <br />Mayor Rinker had no additional comments. <br />COM1VIElVTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT MARQUARDT <br />Council President Marquardt had no comment. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Metzung requested permission to have the Village Engineer prepare specifications and to <br />advertise for bids for concrete and asphalt repair and resurfacing. <br />There were no comments. <br />Chief Mohr said the new car has been in service for 2 weeks now and they are now ready to get <br />rid of the old car. <br />Mr. Brett said maybe we can use that (sale of old cars) as a test case for DemandStar. <br />Mr. Thomas cited the number of campers registered for the various camps: Junior Camp-85; <br />Sports `n More-140; Teen Adventure-53 for Session I and 50 for Session 2. <br />Council President Marquardt said he would like to address the recent complaints relative to the <br />pool. <br />A lengthy discussion was held. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Roman said many people attended `SOs Night and over $600 was <br />collected for Make-a-Wish. The Committee is looking forward to the Fourth of July celebration <br />on June 30. Volunteers are needed. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the Board met and approved two additions and one <br />garage. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said the Service Department erected a new pole and the sign will be going <br />up. Students are weeding the grounds. The insurance payment for the cemetery is due now.
