Regular Council Meeting
7-9-01
Page 3
going to try to enhance the sound system because we got a lot of comments from people in the
audience that they appreciated the better quality sound.
Mrs. Mills said the first concert in the Park after the 4th of July was the 4 Lads and it was very
well attended.
Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting; no report.
Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said there was no meeting; no report.
Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said Mrs. Buzek and students from the Horticulture Center have been
working at the Cemetery and Historical House.
Citizen's Advisory Board - There was no report.
Commission on Agin - Mrs. Roman read the report from Mrs. Kalina, attached.
Dr. Parker arrived at this time (8:22 p.m.)
Drainage & Infrastructure - There was no report.
Safety and Service - There was no report.
Finance Committee - Dr: Parker deferred to Mr. Ilacqua.
Mr. Ilacqua reported that the committee met this evening. Item #1 was discussed at length. Mr.
Metzung explained how he prioritizes the projects that would be undertaken. He showed me the
grid he uses and Mr. Metzung is comfortable with the contractor and we did approve it. We did
not discuss the fact that there was only one bid submitted. The Committee discussed and
recommended items 2, 3, and 4. Item #5 was discussed at length and recommended for approval.
Item #6 was also discussed at length. It was previously at one million dollars of coverage but to
carry that rate again would have been at a significant cost to the Village, so it made sense to
carry lower level for a more economic number. The Committee recommended that item (#6) for
approval. Item #7 was also recommended for approval.
Hillcrest Council of Councils- There was no report.
Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said they are not meeting during the summer, however, the ladies
are still quilting.
M.A.R.C. - Mr. Thomas said M.A.R.C. will meet at Parkview Pool this Thursday at 7 p.m.
Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Busa said there was no report.
Planniniz and Zoning - Mrs. Mills said we didn't have a meeting this month. She asked if there
will be a Workshop.
