Regular Council Meeting <br />8-13-01 <br />Page 3 <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Regular Council Meeting - July 9, 2001 - Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Ilacqua, made a motion to <br />approve the minutes. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there were any comments. <br />There were none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMIVIENTS FRQM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker had no comments. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT MARQUARDT <br />Council President Marquardt had no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Samac said Robert VanVliet, Chairman of our Architectural Review Board and a member <br />for probably 30-35 years passed away. He will be sorely missed by himself and the other <br />members. <br />Mr. Cappello reported that the 2001 road contractor plans to begin on Monday, August 20. <br />Mr. Brett said during this meeting he will be passing out certificates for the fiscal officer's <br />certificates for the two note ordinances. Work will begin on starting the application process for <br />2002 funding in the near future. Mr. VanVliet's artwork has been gracing the Mayor's budget for <br />5-6 years now. He will be missed a great deal. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Roinan said the concerts are still going on at the Gazebo. They will <br />continue through the end of August. The next event will be our tree lighting ceremony. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the Architectural Review Board met on July 26 <br />and approved a detached garage. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said the Board of Appeals met on August 7th and addressed a <br />setback variance for Deacon's. They granted a setback variance for displaying vehicles at their
