Regular Council Meeting <br />8-13-01 <br />Page 5 <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said M.A.R.C. met at Parkview Pool on July 12. She said she will give <br />the minutes of the meeting to Donna to copy for the packets. S'eptember 22 is punt, pass and <br />kick. The MBA program for the girls will open earlier. The Fall Ice Hockey Program will run <br />September 9 to October 14 on Sundays. Mr. Thomas has put a lot of the M.A.R.C. programs in <br />our agenda which is helpful for people who need to coordinate their activities. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr..Busa said there was no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mrs. Mills said Planning and Zoning met this evening. The committee as <br />a whole recommended approval of the preliminary site plan as proposed tonight. <br />Representatives from the Goldberg property were in and there was a motion to table any further <br />action on this until they met with the S.O.M. Center Road Widening Committee. That meeting <br />will be on August 30 at 7 p.m. Mrs. Mills asked Mr. Ilacqua to formally invite the Goldberg <br />representatives so that they are at this meeting. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said the next Recreation Board meeting will be September <br />19. They will be discussing the fall activities. Another fabulous fall Parks & Recreation <br />brochure will be mailed out next week. He glanced through it and we have about 8-10 new <br />programs. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said there was no meeting but he noticed that we are <br />starting to get bombarded with things from the Ohio EPA about home treatment systems. We <br />know they won't go away so we will probably be planning a fall meeting. <br />S.O.M. Center Road Widening Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said there was no report. The next <br />meeting is August 30. <br />OLD BUSIloTESS <br />Third Reading of Resolution No. 2001-03, entitled; "An emergency resolution authorizing the <br />Village of Mayfield to share in the expense with other Hillcrest area municipalities for the <br />purpose of an armored transport vehicle for the purpose of an armored transport vehicle to be <br />used by the Suburban Police Anti-Crime Network (SPAN)." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and <br />Council as a Whole. (First Reading 6-18-01; Second Reading 7-9-01.) <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 2001-03. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there were any comments. <br />Mr. Buckholtz said he has been reading the correspondence he has received very closely and <br />have had conversations with Chief Stevens. A letter came in from Mrs. Peirce that was very <br />compelling from a historical viewpoint. Chief Stevens wrote a practical format of how he sees <br />the need for the vehicle in the world we live in. He will support spending the money and hope <br />we never have to take the vehicle out of its garage.
