Regular Council Meeting
9-24-01
Page 16
Mr. Metzung: A lot of this project that we did this year was done with the thought of doing
something of this nature whether or not next year or the years to come that this was the ground work
for that sort of work.
Mr. Cappello: It would be very minor as far as any major concrete work in my estimation. I mean,
we would have to maybe do a little more cracksealing because of the--or crack repair--a more
structural or wider crack repair--but otherwise we haven't done any base repair on Hickory Hill for 3
to 4 years from what I can remember.
Council President Marquardt asked if there was any further discussion.
Mr. Brett: yes, I think the dollar amount you would want to use is their $186,769 or $136,129. That
is the portion that is going to Agresta. I wanted to fill in the other dollar amount to go in there so we
had the total cost.
Mr. Cappello: Like I said, if we do pass this tonight, is there some--the contractor says he needs
additional funds or something to remobilize, I mean, how do we want to handle something like that?
Mr. Brett: With a change order?
Mr. Cappello: Well, again, I'm not sure--they have a signed contract--we used option...
Mayor Rinker: Wait a minute. Let's back up first of all so we are all on the same page. Phil is
saying $187,000 is what Agresta requires. The dollar amount there and the $205,000 reflects what
other costs?
Mr. Cappello (and someone else) said engineering and inspection.
Council President Marquardt: I would suggest it not to exceed and if you get any other information,
we are going to have a Caucus Meeting next week--we'll get something--at least you can get the ball
rolling.. .
Mayor Rinker: Subject to a reasonable add on if that's required.
Mr. Cappello: I don't even know if they would.
Mr. Brett : Are we still within 60 days of the bid?
NIr. Cappello: I don't think so.
Mayor Rinker: When you are talking mobilization, what kinds of--if we were to suggest the $190
figure, would that absorb?

?
