Regular Council Meeting <br />9-24-01 <br />Page 4 <br />expenditures for the softball leagues; this expenditure is a wash; it will come out of team <br />entrance fees), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8(this item was discussed at length and recommended), 9(our <br />Finance Director will have more on this later in the meeting), 10. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said there is no report but there is a meeting this <br />Saturday at 9:30 and NOPEC will be there answering questions. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said they will have their military uniform display up until <br />November 15. It's very interesting and if you have time, you should see it. Our next open house <br />to see this will be on November 15. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said M.A.R.C. met September 6. The ice hockey enrollment is down but <br />they are expecting it to come up again (otherwise we will combine groups.) We are sharing a <br />profit of $2,500 from last year's program. Our Art Show is underway this weekend and will be <br />up all month in the Mayfield Library. The Punt, Pass and Kick competition was held last <br />Saturday. She asked if Mr. Thomas had any results on that. (No.) Mrs. Cinco said the other <br />things were in our Mayfield Village activity program. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Busa said there was no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mrs. Mills said we met August 16. We entered into a discussion about <br />new home occupations, fence ordinance amendment and garbage and rubbish amendments. Mrs. <br />Mills said she would like to bring this item to the next Council Caucus so the changes can be <br />discussed. The other item on the agenda was the property at 6678 and 6688 Wilson Mills (the <br />Deacon property) and Planning and Zoning recommended that they go forward with this because <br />we felt that they met all criteria necessary. The Deacons are in the audience if anyone has any <br />questions. I think they should be given permission to go forward. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said he was unable to attend the meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 19 as it was held on the Jewish holiday. He has a report: the Recreation Board <br />reviewed summer programs. Recreation Board member and Pool Manager Dave Perout <br />distributed the annual brief of statistics and we have some interesting numbers. Due to the poor <br />weather in 2000, the actual passes were down in sales in 2001, however, general admission <br />nearly doubled. Recreation will sponsor the Halloween Party on October 27 from 1-2:30. We <br />will have some support from High School Key Club members, Boy Scout Troop 705 and <br />students from St. Francis. The next meeting will be October 17. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said the Sewer Liaison Committee will hold a <br />meeting in November. We will review the Issue 2 application and discuss the status of projects <br />for next year. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />S.O.M. Center Road Widening Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said they met September 17. We <br />received very good news in that the environmental document has finally been approved by
