Regular Council Meeting <br />10-15-01 <br />Page 6 <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac was not present; there was no report. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac was not present; there was no report. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said the horticulture students have started their work project as of <br />September. They will be at the Historical House and the Cemetery once a month. The Historical <br />Society had a Cemetery Walk last week. It was enjoyable to be out and learn about the different <br />types of cemetery stones and what they stood for. <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mrs. Cinco said she was not in attendance at the meeting; she was out <br />of town. It is my understanding that a Candidate's Night has been set up for October 30th. The <br />Citizen's Advisory Committee is one of the sponsors; the League of Womens Voters will be <br />putting it on. <br />Commission on Agin? - Mrs. Roman read the report from Mrs. Kalina, Director of Human <br />Services. Of note are flu shot registration and administration dates. A copy of the report is <br />attached to the minutes. <br />Mrs. Roman reported that we have received about 320 snow removal applications to date. <br />Drainage & Infrastructure - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said Safety and Service met on October lst. We discussed the <br />new amendments concerning rubbish, home occupations, and fence heights. They were reported <br />at Caucus that night and are in ordinance form to be read in 3 separate readings. We discussed <br />the 2002 police fleet, replacement motorcycle and speed monitor and trailer. Those items were <br />recommended and are on the agenda tonight. The air packs were given a first discussion so that <br />we have an idea about replacing them 2 at a time in the next few years to come from a new <br />supplier. <br />Finance Committee - Dr. Parker said the Committee met this evening and recommended items 1, <br />2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 for approval. Regarding Item #3, $5,000 of that expenditure will be paid for <br />by a grant. Item #8 regarding an additional $1,000 for brush grinding was added to the agenda <br />and recommended for approval. The Committee deferred action on Item #7. A copy of the <br />agenda is attached to the minutes. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Mills said the military display is available for viewing on the third <br />Sunday in October and November from 1-3 p.m. The annual Turkey Raffle will be held on <br />November 17. That is when the quilt will be raffled off. A group will be going to the east <br />branch of Cuyahoga County College to talk to the Elderhostel about the Historical House. <br /> <br /> <br />
