/ <br />• Regular Council Meeting <br />11-19-01 <br />Page 5 <br />automatic monitor defibrillators. We also talked abut the EMS State Grant for the Fire <br />Department for audio visual equipment. We are awaiting payment from Highland Heights so that <br />we can proceed with Opticom Equipment at Wilson Mills Road and S.O.M. Center roads. <br />Finance Committee - Dr. Parker said the committee met this evening and recommended agenda <br />items 1-5. We should be receiving more information in January regarding item #5. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said there is no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said the connection to the sanitary sewer has been made and the <br />grinder pump has been removed. The annual Turkey Raffle was a success. The last function of <br />the year will be the Annual Potluck Supper on December 12, 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room. <br />The military memorabilia display has been taken down. The Historical House will be decorated <br />for the holidays this week. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said at their last meeting, Mr. Weinberg reported that floor hockey will <br />start Saturday. The Art Show wrapped up. One painting was sold. Anyone having any new <br />ideas for Phil Weinberg, please let me know. We also discussed bocce and golf. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Samac said they met on November 13. They discussed the <br />3 ordinances that are on second reading this evening. Everyone should have received copies of <br />the proposed changes. He suggested that Council leave them on second reading. If anyone has <br />input between now and December, we can make adjustments before the final reading (in <br />December.) <br />Planning and Zonin? - Mrs. Mills reported the Planning and Zoning Commission inade a motion <br />to approve for the top communication antenna at 300 North Commons Blvd. as proposed. The <br />Workshop on November 15 involved the new A1terCare facility being proposed next to <br />Governor's Village. If anyone wants to attend the next meeting, it will be on December 3 at 7:30 <br />p.m. because it will be addressed at Caucus. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said they met November 17. They discussed the upcoming <br />Winter Break Programs (for December and January.) The Halloween Party was a success-over <br />150 attended. Special thanks to the Recreation Board, the Boy Scouts, Dr. Parker (for providing <br />toothbrushes) and the judges for the Costume Contest. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said the Issue 2 funding application involves <br />Meadowood/Eastgate [sewers]. We will plan our next meeting around the (hopefully) positive <br />results of the Issue 2 application. <br />SPECIAL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />S.O.M. Center Road Widening Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said they met November 8. Mike Burgess <br />did a good job of summarizing where the project stands. We are waiting on finalization from <br />O.D.O.T. to sign off on the right-of-way documents which will allow the right-of-way process to
