12-17-01 <br />Page 3 <br />Everyone extended best wishes to Mr. Busa. <br />Mr. Busa said he has limited vision and asked Council President Marquardt to read his closing <br />comments (at the end of the meeting.) <br />COMIVIENTS FROM COLTNCIL PRESIDENT MARQUARDT <br />Council President Marquardt had no further comment. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Service - Mr. Metzung said we have completed our leaf season for the year. Because of the great <br />weather, we were able to get through the community once a week all season. C.E.I. began <br />moving utility poles today on the Village-owned property. <br />En 'gYneer - Mr. Hovancsek said he reviewed the plans for the A1terCare facility and approved <br />same. He has also reviewed the water main plans for Phase 1 of the S.O.M. Center Road <br />widening and approved same. <br />Parks & Recreation - Mr. Thomas reported that 22 campers have registered for the Winter Break <br />Camp. He extended thanks to the Sun Messenger for promoting it. Planning is underway for our <br />Spring/Summer programs. Two adjustments were made in the excursion schedule: the Cedar <br />Point trip will be June 26 (not June 28); the Whitewater Rafting trip will be July 12 (not July 10.) <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee Mrs. Roman said the Committee appreciates everyone's attendance at the <br />Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. It was a nice evening. We also thank the children from the <br />Center School Choir and Mayfield High School Band. Our next event is the Appreciation <br />Dinner. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac was not present. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac was not present. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said she hopes everyone has seen the new fence [at Mayfield Union <br />Cemetery.] Wanda Hejcl and Jim and Tom from the Service Deparhnent helped her decorate <br />and put up roping and bows. <br />Citizen's Advisor_y Board - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Commission on Agin? - Mrs. Cinco read the report for Mr. Busa (attached.) <br />Drainage and Infrastructure - Mrs. Cinco said there was no meeting; no report.
