Organizational Council Meeting
Page 4
person appointed by each of the Councilpeople would give that representation and provide
balance--and work within the time frame we are talking about. That is why I asked to have it put
on this agenda because we need to get the thing going. I am looking at what the Engineer has to
have and we have about a month to get a good layout of what has to happen. And almost a
month after that to get some final decisions made.
Mr. Ilacqua asked if these will all be public meetings.
Council President Marquardt said correct.
Mr. Ilacqua said I think it is important tha.t someone from police and fire be there. Although they,
.
are not on the committee in name, their presence would be highly sought as would the Mayors.
And their input and they would be used as resources. Surely, the Mayor knows more about the
project than most people.
Mrs. Cinco said with this ma.ke-up, do you see the people from URS Crreiner being Here from -
time to time as far as guiding us.
Council President Marquardt said yes. Certainly the path of the roadway is the most important
thing that has to be determined. Certainly the engineers have to work that issue with the
guidance of the committee.
Mrs. Cinco said she would like to see our engineer or his representative be involved too:
Mrs. Mills questioned the time frame for meetings--when would they start and would they be
setting their dates of ineetings, eta •_ =:? .
Council President Marquardt said he thinks it is up to the committee to set those up within the
time frame the Engineer has outlined. He was hoping to get it kicked off tonight so that it gives
them the most amount of time to get this project going. . . < ` .
. , ..
.,....., . ............?:..:;, : _ ,. -...,t...:.: -.:..:... .
A brief discussion was held about finding a location for the meetings.
Mrs. Mills asked if the information would be filtered down to all the Councilpeople and all the
other committee members?
Council President 1Vlarquardt said he thinks he suggested they appoint someone:to.take minutes
and keep everyone informed along the way. It is something they will work on and in theend,
present it. '' -
Mrs. Mills asked if Donna or someone will be taking minutes, or if one of the committee
members will' have''fo'fake'minutes: :' . s.,.,=. ?; . . , _ ;; .. . . .. . ;;
Council President Marquardt said he thinks it would be a good idea to get someone. It is
difficult to work on a coxnmittee and take minutes.
