The Men's Basketball Programs are doing well. The Over 40 <br />league has 8 teams and the new Men's 18 and Over has 6 teains. Parkview Playground <br />Bids will be sent out next week. The timetable will be to review those bids in February ` <br />and recommendations and approval made to Council in March with construction in <br />April and May. The Board talked about a scoreboard agreement with the Coca Cola <br />Company and scaled it back to a 3 or 5 year lease. They also talked about the newly- <br />created MBA youth basketball league. There has been good response to that program <br />so far. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Mr. Buckholtz said there was no report. <br />SPECIAL COMMQTTEE <br />REPORTS <br />Cable Review Committee - Mr. Diemert said Mr. Ilacqua and I have been talking <br />regularly inbetween our meetings with Cablevision representatives. He is ill tonight <br />and asked me to report that since the Caucus, there have not been much changes other <br />than Cablevision has indicated they will be working on trying to find a way to connect <br />the Upper 40 residents. Those residents were here this evening and gave me some <br />maps that might help us in that regard. <br />Wage Review Committee - Dr. Parker said they met January 19t' with various groups <br />and individuals to discuss their concerns about the wage ordinance. The response has <br />been very favorable by those involved. Our next meeting is January 26. <br />S O M. Center Road Widening Working Committee - Mrs. Mills reported for Mr. <br />Ilacqua: There was an Organizational meeting on January 18. Our official meetings <br />will start February 15t at 8:00 p.m. here. It is open to the public. Please come. We will <br />be seeing some very preliminary plans from LTRS Greiner at this time. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />¦ A motion to approve the Mayor's appointments (as revised) <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to approve Mayor Rinker's <br />appointments (as revised).
