Regular Council Meeting <br />3-18-02 <br />Page 3 <br />had 112 participants for summer camp and we have 199 at this time; we have 47 signed up for <br />Teen Adventure camp and we had 261ast year at this time for first session; for second session we <br />had 221ast year, we have 37. He anticipates that camp to be filled within the next week or so. <br />STANDING:COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Roman reported that the Activities Committee will be meeting in <br />April after Spring break to meet the new members and get started planning the events. <br />Mayor Rinker said we are looking at a couple of items with'SOs Night. He has spoken with <br />Chief Stevens and with Lt. Dearden about things dealing with personnel and maintaining the <br />good safety force. We may look at a couple of things. We will see if there is a way we can <br />regulate a little more without imposing more than will be functional. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the ARB met on March 14. Two additions to <br />residential dwellings were approved. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said at the last BOA meeting, a variance was granted for the <br />Georgian Center for parking to accommodate the medical office use for the facility along with <br />the recommendation from P&Z. The resolution is on tonight's agenda. <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said the horticulture students worked there on March 1 St and then there <br />was the windstorm. She is getting estimates on tree removal and then will hold a meeting [with <br />the other community representatives.] <br />Re Citizen's Advisory--Council President Buckholtz noted the agenda should be changed from <br />Mrs. Cinco to Mr. Ilacqua. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Ilacqua said they met a few weeks back. A number of topics <br />were discussed: the SOM project, the Church (and what is going on with their move east), the <br />zoning issue on Wilson Mills (which has been since tabled). Chairman Jim Mason discussed <br />getting involved in other projects. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills read the report from Mrs. Kalina (attached.) <br />Drainage & Infrastructure Committee - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met on March 7 for an <br />organizational meeting. We went through the list of projects we need to evaluate from last year <br />and included a few more. Mr. Metzung, Mr. Samac and Mr. Cappello are busy getting things <br />evaluated, getting prices and seeing what the Village can do and seeing what we need to take out <br />to bid. Our next meeting is Friday, April 12 at 8:30 a.m. [at the Service Department.] <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco said Safety and Service met March lst. The only item on the <br />agenda was a proposed resolution for automatic defibrillators. Since then, that is all she has been <br />seeing in the newspapers.
