Regular Council Meeting <br />4-22-02 <br />Page 4 <br />Chief Mohr said we built a PowerPoint presentation and videotaped the entire presentation. <br />Council can choose to see either/or. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said the Committee met this evening. The following items <br />were discussed and recommended for approval: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6. <br />Mr. Ilacqua further explained: Item #2 is a matter of procedure; the acquisition has been done <br />and these things need to be taken care of for us to utilize the property); Item #3 is a dues <br />fluctuation; none of this will go toward the purchase of the vehicle and we will pay it in one <br />installment of $12,000. The amount for item #5 is a ceiling; most of the previous audits have <br />come in at the $6,000-8,000 range. As a matter of procedure, tomorrow at 1 p.m. there is a Post- <br />Audit Hearing at Village Hall. The Committee needs more information on Item #7, SCBA's for <br />the Fire Department; Chief Mohr feels he can lock in a good price that is guaranteed until August <br />1 St; he and Mr. Brett will "button-up" the quotes and figure our how it fits into the Fire <br />Department's budget; Chief Mohr will also have additional information. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Marrie said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said much of the work [at the Historical House] being performed <br />at this time is in the basement and explained the modifications. Artifact inventory is being <br />readied for computer cataloging. Our Bicentennial representatives attended a meeting last week <br />and our own March lst, 2003 celebration project is being planned. Look in the Voice of the <br />Village or the Mayfield Township Historical Society newsletter for the latest update on ongoing <br />programs. The 2002 raffle quilt is off the frame and the finishing work will be done. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Marrie said we met April 11. Mr. Weinberg, Mr. Thomas and Jim Farmer met <br />with the Euclid City Skating Program;.they are offering our skaters to join theirs for skill <br />development above and beyond what we have in place. Gilmour Academy is not ready for us at <br />this point. There was also discussion and recommendation to look into an Under 12 Rugby Non- <br />Contact Program. It will be brought up at the summer camps to see how it will be received by <br />the children. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said there was no meeting this month. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said a Planning and Zoning Workshop was held on April <br />18. A lengthy discussion was held relative to the Goldberg proposal. There were a number of <br />people in the audience who voiced their concein about the height variance and about traffic. The <br />meeting went quite long discussing that issue. The next item on the agenda was the lot split and <br />consolidation for the Judge Krenzler property. That was discussed and there seemed to be a <br />favorable response on that. A proposal by Tirgan to be included in a new Planned Residential <br />Development on the Northwest corner of S.O.M. and Highland; they presented a concept <br />drawing. We are told that would be taken into consideration when the rest of the zoning <br />consideration is being looked at. The last item on the agenda was the lot split/consolidation for <br />the Nasseri property which was discussed by the Finance Committee this evening.
