The mass is on Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis.
COIVIMENTS;FROM COUNCILPRESIDENT Bi1CKHOLTZ ,
Council President Buckholtz said I have no comments at this time.
pEPARTMENT HEAD, REPORTS
Service - Mr. Metzung said I ask that the salt bids be added to tonight's agenda. I apologize for
not having that in your packet.
Fire - Chief Mohr said we had an extensive power failure last evening with 2/3 of the
community being out on the northeast end of town. Apparently, they had some bad fuses in the
area of Highland and S.O.M. Center Road on those high tension wires there; those 33,000 volt
lines. That's why it was out.
Mr. Samac said I want to add something to what Chief Mohr said. The power was out and we
did have another power failure in our Police Department. The generator refused to start up
automatically and it was necessary for it to be started manually (which it finally did.) I will be
requesting to go out for bids to replace that unit.
?
Parks & Recreation - Mr. Thomas said our Fall brochure was mailed. I believe some of our
residents are receiving it now. Hopefully, everyone is reading the cover and contents inside.
Council President Buckholtz said nice job as usual.
STANDIN.G COMMITTEE REPORTS
Activities Committee - Mrs. Roman said the Committee will be meeting in early September.
The next event will be the Tree Lighting Ceremony in December.
Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said we had a meeting on August 8.
