Regulaz Council Meeting <br />8-19-02 <br />Page 3 <br />i <br />, <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - There was no report. <br />Commission on A in? - Mrs. Roman read the report from Eunice Kalina, Human Service <br />Director. <br />Drainage & Infrastructure & Safetv and Service -(Mrs. Cinco asked to combine reports.) Mrs. <br />Cinco said we did not have a Drainage & Infrastructure meeting this month. It will be on an as <br />needed basis in the future. Our last 3 projects are on the agenda for tonight and were before <br />Finance. As Doug said, this is with a new construction person so we'll try out the first two and <br />make sure he does a good job. Concerning our other projects, we had one completed on <br />Beechers Brook creek, cleaning just south of Wilson Mills Road. Some of the other projects <br />have met minor resistance from some of the residents as we're requiring a 10% ante for any <br />project done on residential property. Doug is working with these. It is a minor amount of money <br />but those that are from natural causes, again, we are paying for it totally out of the Village. But <br />we've come a long ways on this committee. We've gotten a lot done and these are minor projects <br />and we're hoping for the cooperation of the residents. <br />Finance Committee - Dr. Parker reported the Finance Committee met this evening. A number of <br />items on our agenda were discussed. The committee recommended approval of items #1 and 2. <br />Both of these expenditures are submitted to O.D.O.T. for Issue 2 reimbursement. <br />? Mr. Brett said one of three they'll be submitted to. They will be reimbursed; it is a question of <br />source. <br />Dr. Parker said the committee recommended approval of items #3, 4. Regarding item #4, this <br />has been discussed and the committee recommended approval and we will see how the first two <br />projects go before allowing the third to move ahead. The committee recommended approval of <br />items #5 and 6. There will be another item added to the Council agenda for salt for this year. <br />The committee is in favor of that. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Marrie said no report; there was no meeting. <br />Historical Societv - Mr. Marrie said the annual Ice Cream Social and Open House Salute to the <br />Services will be held on September l lth at the Historic House from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. <br />Military and police and fire memorabilia will be on display. All are welcoine. They have <br />another wedding scheduled for the end of August. They're hoping for a garden type, of course. <br />The sprinkler system was installed and completed today. It will be used to protect the plantings <br />and the lawn. This will relieve volunteer time and efforts now taxed to the nth degree. October <br />has the biannual Quilt Show scheduled for October 11 - 13 in the Community Room. We hope <br />for township participation to fund the Mayfield High School history scholarship next year, also <br />for the sprinlclers and maintenance of the Historical House. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Marrie said M.A.R.C. met August lst. The treasurer's report is $11,492. The <br />_ Director's salary has not been paid up till now. We will pay him $7,000; that's for 1999 and <br />2000. The Ice Hockey bill came in for Fall. We wound up with a$1,400 net profit. They are
