Regular Council Meeting <br />8-19-02 <br />Page 4 <br />7 <br />(the Hockey Association) is going to donate $700 to Jim Farmer for the Youth Hockey <br />Association. That will come out of the $1,400 profit. We have punt, pass and kick competition <br />September 21. The M.A.R.C. Art Show will be September 28 at the Library. The classes for <br />Fall will include bottle rockets, karate, cheerleading, gymnastics, chess club. They also have Ice <br />Hockey for kindergarten and also 3 and 5. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said no meeting, no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said Planning & Zoning had sponsored a tour of various <br />planned housing unit developments in the area last Wednesday, August 14. There was a meeting <br />tonight where Planning & Zoning approved the automated car wash at D.O. Summers and had <br />further discussion on the planned development zoning classification. <br />Council President Buckholtz said I thought the little tour that Bernie put together for P&Z went <br />very well. It was the first time we included members of Council, P&Z, members of the 2020 <br />Commission and I think that's sort of the beginning of a model of getting things done a little <br />quicker. I thought we had a good discussion afterwards. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie said there was no meeting this month. Our next meeting will be <br />. September 18. I think most of you have received the fall recreation [brochure] at home. I think <br />it's an outstanding job of what Recreation is ofFering for all through the year. There is just about <br />, something for everybody in here. My hats off to Bill and his crew for doing this. <br />Sewer Liaison Committee - Council President Buckholtz said I have no report. <br />Special Committee Reportse <br />S.O.M. Widenin? - Council President Buckholtz said I do not have a prepared report but there <br />are minutes from the last meeting. <br />-OI;D SUSINESS, <br />OPEleT PORTION - 3-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first <br />state their name and address. This open portion is limited to discussion pertaining to the items <br />under "Old Business" only. <br />There were no comments. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Council President Buckholtz requested a motion to amend the agenda to add the salt bid. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to amend the agenda to add the salt bid.
