Regular Council Meeting
10-21-02
Page 14
~ that. So, that is my presentation for the traffic which I think will be horrendous there. Do they
} go out on S.O.M.? Well, they're not going to go out on S.O.M. and try to turn left so naturally
the exiting traffic will come out on Seneca. Well, that is going to start backing up. So, what's
going to happen for we residents who want to come out? Thank you.
Council President Buckholtz said thank you Mrs. Winkle. And I would just like to make a
comment directly to you and encourage you-you would bewelcome-I believe at the BZA
meetings and following this through its course. But it seems to me that we sort of like (and
we've been talking about traffic all through this) so that is a big concern. But I just want to take
the second comment and try to comment. We have the type of business that it is and how-and
then we have the code as to how it's built and we have issues about the customer base and who
will be frequenting this type of business. And then we have the traffic situation. So, I mean, and
that's not in necessarily the order of priority but I am just trying to keep a tally here once again
so we aren't repetitive on our comments but collectively we know what we have to discuss both
residentially, both at the BZA...so thank you very much.
Susan Chiccone - I have a couple of questions. Can you please tell us what your mix is of our
product line at your current store? Because inhere you are encouraging that you are going to
encourage the selection of fine wine and provide the discriminate buyer with the products he or
she is seeking and sell it at state minimums. I want to know what you have today and what you
are proposing.
_. -.~
~ Mr. Jiannetti said we certainly don't intend to deceive you. They do sell packaged liquor. I
t
# think it is all very clear. Is that what you are getting at?
Ms. Chiccone said the impression that this leaves me with is that you are intending to increase
your wine sales. So I am wondering what your mix is today and what your proposed mix is
going to be.
Mr. Steigerwald said it is going to stay the same. The emphasis is on wine, that's how we make
our money.
Ms. Chiccone asked what's your--50% wine, 70% wine?
Mr. Steigerwald said our inventory is 70% wine.
Ms. Chiccone said 70% wine and asked how much hard liquor?
Mr. Steigerwald said well, we don't--it's not ours so we don't keep track of that.
Ms. Chiccone said but you ring the sales through.
Mr. Steigerwald said it's separate. It's all...
. 6
.j
