Regular Council Meeting
10-21-02
Page 17
provide an idea or look back at your-if you can-of a profile of how your customer base is.
That's just a suggestion. I think that's what Ms. Chiccone is asking for.
Mr. Steigerwald said we will do what we can.
Council President Buckholtz said thank you. Next.
Tim Scasny, 648 Meadowood, I really don't have anything to address these gentlemen. Mr.
Buckholtz, I do have something to address with you. The last meeting you promised, I don't
know if it was a promise, but you said that residents would be notified about the next meeting
and I had no idea that you were going to discuss this until someone else called me and told me
late yesterday. I'd appreciate i£..because we all filled out....we all signed a sheet and gave our
phone numbers and addresses and you said we would be notified. I was under the impression
that this meeting two weeks from now was the meeting that we were going to have a chance to
talk. So....
Council President Buckholtz said we. are.
Mr. Scasny said but this meeting tonight I really felt was important as well. And that's where I
was of the impression that not after the fact if this would have continued on course. This
would be a very important meeting to be at and I was hoping to be told that tonight it was going
to be on the agenda. That's my impression that I got at that last time.
Council President Buckholtz said just so you know....
Mr. Scasny said next time we sign something I hope that we're told. If we do sign something as
you suggested and that you said we'd be notified, that we would be notified.
Council President Buckholtz said it's my understanding that we did notify everybody that we
were going to have a discussion. I guess what's not clear in there is what was going to happen
tonight which we weren't 100% sure of until these folks came up but it was pretty clear that it
was going to be withdrawn so, I guess, I don't know---you know, and people have called me,
people have called all the councilmen all week and I've been trying to say if you would call 3
people and you would ca113 people, it's just difficult...we have 87 names and I certainly
couldn't have called them all but I take that under advisement and will do my best to inform
people.
Members of the audience applauded.
Mayor Rinker said if I may add something because what I hear in that question, and I think.. .
Council President Buckholtz asked was that [applause] forme or was that for Mr. Scasny, I'm
just curious.
Mayor Rinker said okay. The fact of the matter is Council meets once a month in a regular _
meeting and once a month in a Caucus. By this point we would like to think that our residents ~ _.~
