Regular Council Meeting
10-21-02
Page 5 .
Council President Buckholtz said I have a question on that. I read the minutes for the signage for
the car wash. Will we be taking a look at that or does that just go straight to A.R.B.?
Mr. Samac answered just to A.R.B.
Council President Buckholtz said I understand that they had passed it but they were going to
send you acopy--can we get a copy of that sent to us? It was an interesting conversation, I'd
just like to see the... -
Mr. Samac said yes, absolutely. I will see that everyone receives a copy. It was just a matter of
redoing the front elevation with a sign on it.
Council President Buckholtz said proportionately correct.
Mr. Samac said right.
Board of Appeals - Mr. Samac said we had a meeting on the 15`h of October. There was one
variance request for a side yard setback for an addition to a residential dwelling. That was
approved by Board of Appeals.
Cemetery -Mrs. Mills said the Mayfield students are working twice a month in the Cemetery
and at the Historical House. They were at the Historical House today. Discovery Tours will
visit the Cemetery on October 30. Included in their tour will be Lakeview and Mentor
cemeteries.
Citizen's Advisory Board -Council President Buckholtz said Mrs. Cinco is not here. We did
have a meeting and several issues were discussed, just general concerns, the Liquor Store
development was certainly one of them. The next Citizen's Advisory is October 28.
Commission on A ig ng -Mrs. Mills read the report from Eunice Kalina, Human Services
Director, attached.
Drainage & Infrastructure -Council President Buckholtz asked Mr. Metzung for an update.
Mr. Metzung said we met with the contractor who is going to begin work on the
Ridgebury/South Woodlane project. That's underway.
Safetyand Service - Dr. Parker said Safety & Service met last Monday, October 7. A number of
items were on our agenda. Orie was the replacement generator. We discussed various pros and
cons of the 20 kw versus a 30 kw. The overall feeling of Safety & Service was to go fora 30 kw
unit. Traffic loop detectors, Lt. Dearden presented to us-a quote to replace 5 loops that aren't
functioning. Eventually, we will need to replace these. At this time since there is going to be
some construction work done on S.O.M., we are going to wait for now. We removed it from the
agenda and will revisit that once we work on S.O.M. Emergency replacement for the ambulance
cot. At our last Council meeting, Chief Mohr explained to us the need to replace that (not only
from a liability standpoint but from the fact that the old one broke and we really don't want to fix
