Regular Council Minutes <br />11-18-02 <br />Page 3 <br />Cemetery -Mrs. Mills said the students from the Horticulture School have completed their Fall <br />clean-up at the Mayfield Union Cemetery and the Historical House. The students will continue <br />to repair the grave markers, weather permitting. The 35 people from Discovery Tour toured the <br />Cemetery on October 20, 2002. Nancy Plastine and Patsy Mills acted as docents for the tour. <br />The participants were given information on the Bennett VanCuren House and a pencil. Repair of <br />the doors on the mausoleum is necessary. Anew lock and painting and repair of the bottom of <br />the doors will be done at a cost not to exceed $50. Holiday wreaths will be placed on the <br />Cemetery's fence. <br />Citizen's Advisory Board - Mr. Biter said Citizen's Advisory met on October 28. The <br />Committee was urged to attend the November 4a' public meeting (discussing the liquor store.) <br />We discussed the S.O.M. widening project which will start construction in the Spring. <br />Discussion was held of the loss of Wiley 2 and what will be done to replace ball fields. <br />Committee members expressed concerns about the truck signs and banners in the trees at the <br />apartment complex. It was pointed out that when the recycling truck is filled, glass falls the <br />truck and breaks on the street. The Mayor will investigate. Our next meeting is November 25 at <br />7:15 p.m. <br />Commission on A i~ng -Mrs. Mills read the report from Eunice Kalina (attached.) <br />Drainage & Infrastructure Committee -Mrs. Cinco said the Drainage & Infrastructure <br />Committee requests that you add the name of Water to that committee so that we are in <br />compliance with the Phase II stormwater meeting that we all attended on Thursday at <br />Willoughby Hills City Hall. Doug was also there; Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Biter and <br />myself from the Village. They gave us •a sample Stormwater Management Program and <br />discussed what we are all looking forward to and hopefully we'll get a lot of help also. Did I <br />miss anything there, Doug? <br />Mr. Metzung said no but we did get a disk of the program so we can change the name and insert <br />ours. <br />Mrs. Cinco asked Mr. Metzung to update Council on our Drainage & Infrastructure projects. <br />Mr. Metzung said they just completed the project between Ridgebury and South Woodlane. Just <br />days ago and that's where we're at. <br />Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco said Safety and Service met on November 11. At that time we <br />discussed the fireworks (which is on the agenda tonight); police cruisers (we are on a two-year <br />cycle so we are getting 3 cars this year.) That is also on Finance and on the agenda tonight to be <br />approved. The Committee approved that. We talked about the Highway Safety Grant which we <br />received and commended Lt. Dearden on that along with the Fire Grant to Chief Mohr. They <br />talked about the thermal imager and the air packs being paid for through this grant. (So, now <br />you have more money to spend, Dave.) Also at that time Chief Mohr said that he was going to <br />look into a siren at the north end and one at the High School. We have one that works now but <br />after the timely tornado that previous weekend, at a cost of $12,000 each--we thought it was <br />
