Special Meeting Minutes
12-30-02
Page 2
Council President Buckholtz said okay; so we have a motion to amend and second reading of
Ordinance No. 2002-44. We would ask for a motion to suspend; [addressing Ms. Calta he asked]
do you want to read the motion?
Motion to Amend and Second Reading of Ordinance No 2002-44 entitled; "An emergency
ordinance to appropriate a fee simple interest in and to the premises more fully described below and
in the exhibits attached hereto for public street purposes." Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council
as a Whole. (First Reading 12-16-02)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Marrie, made a motion to amend Ordinance No. 2002-44.
Mr. Riter asked could we have the amendment?
Ms. Calta said the ordinance that you got in your packet is the ordinance as amended.
Mr. Riter said I thought you were going to take some additional properties off the list.
Ms. Calta said actually we could probably take the Nassieri's off.
Mr. Brett asked but is there any need to? I don't think you need to amend because if they're settled,
it's not going to-we're not going to file.
Ms. Calta said right. Just because we're passing this ordinance doesn't mean that the appropriation
actually has to be filed. This is the most updated list as of Friday so there have been some
developments today--- .
Council President Buckholtz said we were having that discussion before we started the meeting,
so this is like where I would like to have that discussion-like let's go now to who-let's leave it
as we're waiting for a vote on an amended ordinance, let's read now who's left on the-or what
property owners or parcel numbers are left on the ordinance. Can we do that?
Ms. Calta said that's fine.
Mayor Rinker said sure.
Council President Buckholtz said the status of the ordinance for the record so we know what the
ordinance will be covering.
Ms. Calta said do you want me to-look at that ordinance and I'll go down that list. And that's
listed in the order of this bar chart from Gerard minus the numbers on the properties. Then you
see the first one which is Musca, that, as I was mentioning before, we have an agreement with
them. The agreement is in circulation; I mean they haven't signed it or returned it to us; it's
expected any day. It is expected actually-
Mr. Marquardt said so this is still part of the ordinance.
