Special Council Meeting
2-24-03
Page 20
Mrs. Cinco said 3 acres.
Mr. Brett said what it excludes is the back acre which is commercial but will also likely have a road
coming through a portion of it. I don't want to reserve Parkland if I'm going to come back and say,
oh, by the way, we're putting a-----
Mr. Marquardt said 3 acres, essentially in residential property right now.
Mayor Rinker said no it's beyond that Bill.
Mr. Brett said it's 350.
Mrs. Cinco said the first 350.
Mayor Rinker said that's feet. But the house-I think iYs going to go---
Council President Buckholtz said residential, then office/lab----
Mayor Rinker said if I recall it's like 3.9 something or it's just under 4 acres.
Mr. Brett said it was 4 acres before the take. So it's like 3.78.
Mayor Rinker said I'm really only roughing it, you know, Bernie can do the measurement for you
but I'm going to just stab, that's going to be roughly about where the house sits.
Several side discussions were held.
Mr.1Vlarquardt said you could end up with a house thaYs structurally unsound. We're talking about getting that
language in there, that if for any reason iYs unbefitting ADA Compliance or unsound or unusable
then we can't, you know, hold onto it. We are covering ourselves.
Mr. Marquardt said I don't have a problem with the Issue One.
Council President Buckholtz said you don't have a problem leaving it out with Issue One and
using the property.
Dr. Parker said; I mean I think we tell the person it is our intention to maintain it but if we deem
that in the best interest of the Village that we have to take it down, then we have to do it.
Council President Buckholtz said we are flip-flopping from issue to issue. I want to make a
comment about the Issue One. Sometimes you dangle 3 things in front of them in the hopes of
getting 2-or one. I mean I don't know, like you're saying, that's the longest shot. IYs 3
