Regular Council Meeting
4-21-03
Page 4
facilities in front. They were looking for an overall height variance and there was a front setback
issue with regard to parking and a side yard issue. There was no action taken on that request
until such time as it runs through Planning Commission for a conditional use permit. The last
case was Skoda, Minotti and Company who had requested 4-5 variances for their proposed
addition to their office facility on Beta Drive. There was what amounted to 5 variance requests.
The variances were granted. There were actually 2 modifications to the requests made; one
involved increasing a side yard setback along the east side yard to 23' from the 5' that was
proposed by the applicant. That was granted. There was a change that also was caused by the
movement of the side yard requirement that involved a 49-car parking variance as opposed to the
42 that was originally asked for. That also was granted with that amendment.
Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said the Horticulture students are still working at the Cemetery and at the
Bennett VanCuren Historical House. In addition, the Mayor reviewed some
potential developments within the community, revitalization of Beta Drive. Bill Thomas attended
and discussed some new developments south of the pool including additional ball diamonds.
Mr. Buckholtz said we have a meeting coming up on Apri129 at 3:00 p.m. in this room.
