I'm requesting that Council put all of those on first <br />reading this evening and wait until the exhibit reads as it should be. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Riter said no report; no meeting since our last Council <br />meeting. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Mills said the lighting project on the second floor has been completed. <br />Patsy Mills rented it for the first wedding in a year in mid-March. A tour of our new display was <br />conducted by Mayor Rinker who also performed the ceremony. The gardens are in bloom and <br />looking well thanks to the Horticulture Group. A scholarship is being awarded to a graduating <br />senior at Mayfield High School from the Historical Society. Students applying for this <br />scholarship are asked to volunteer and get hands-on experience in preservation cataloguing and <br />docent duty. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Marrie said there was no meeting; no report. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Marquardt said no meeting, no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Marquardt said Planning and Zoning held a workshop on April 17. <br />There were 4 items on the agenda. The first item was a request by OMNI Development and <br />Panzica for a Conditional Use Permit to construct a hotel and office or restaurant complex at 651 <br />Beta Drive. The second item on the agenda was a site plan by Mr. Jack Carney for a proposed <br />office retail facility that would be on the property just south of Pizzazz at 849 S.O.M. Center <br />Road. The next item on the agenda was discussion of the Skoda, Minotti and Company two- <br />story addition to their facility on Beta Drive. The last item on the on the agenda was the review <br />of a preliminary site plan for Progressive Insurance for a 4th building and a new garage structure <br />on their property. Those items will be addressed formally at the next Planning and Zoning <br />meeting which is the first Tuesday in May. <br />Mr. Samac noted the meeting will be held on the 12th prior to the Caucus. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Marrie said the Recreation Board and the Recreation Deparhnent have <br />been very busy. We met on April 16. Recaps were done on the Easter Party for the children; it <br />was probably the largest party we've had in many years. It was a very good turnout; a nice day <br />for the kids. There were 5 students that applied for the Debbie Hudacko scholarship; their <br />interviews will be done on May 6. An update on Adult Sport Teams: 8 co-ed soccer; 14 co-ed <br />so$ball; 14 men's softball; anticipated 8 teams in co-ed sand volleyball; 6 in co-ed bocce. In the <br />Youth, we have 4 teams for the 6-8 year-olds softball co-ed; 2 teams from Mayfield Village in <br />the 9-11 year-old slow pitch boys; 1 team 12-14 year-old slow pitch girls; 1 team 15-18 year-old <br />girls' fast pitch; anticipated 6 teams of the 14-18 year-old boys in the slow pitch league; we hope <br />to have 4 teams of 6-8 graders in the girls sand volleyball. Bill covered the Chess and the Pi- <br />Society. Pool passes go on sale on May 12 for Mayfield Village residents. The pool opens June <br />7 at noon; it will close at 5 that day because `SOs Cruise Night starts at 6 p.m.
