There being none, he requested a <br />roll call: <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. <br />Mills, Dr. Parker and Mr. Riter <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Variance Affirmed <br />Mayor Rinker said a lot of discussion that has ensued on this issue has been sensitive to say the least <br />but I want to reaffirm something I said the night of the Board of Appeals' meeting and want to <br />remind everyone here and that is: We don't treat the issue lightly and on the contrary we are looking <br />specifically to dollars that will be generated through the Skoda improvement that will be earmarked <br />specifically for the improvements that we have heard the residents tell us are important to them. By <br />those I mean: landscaping, lighting, drainage. I've said from the beginning that while the use is <br />something that people feel very concerned about, even opposed to, in the long run I believe that we <br />are demonstrating that for Mayfield Village this type of use is one that can be very beneficial. The <br />issues that have come out I also think have been instructive for all of us because the comments that <br />we've heard from Council members, to me echo the sentiments that we will make sure that this <br />project has done well. And this project is not simply what Skoda has done along the west side of the <br />property but Mayfield Village in widening S.O.M. Center Road (both for the frontage on S.O.M. and <br />coming around on Beta) and for the issues that we've heard regarding Wiley Park-all those factors
