Regular Council Meeting <br />5-19-03 <br />Page 2 <br />Mayor Rinker said on Wednesday will be the first preliminary public meeting by the 2020 <br />Vision to give everyone a first report; they will get feedback and issues can be fined tuned. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BUCKHOLTZ <br />Council President Buckholtz commended Mr. Brett for a nice job on the NRAC application. <br />Council President Buckholtz said the Worton Park Homeowners will be meeting Thursday <br />evening. There was an excellent article in People about the Panzica family; iYs a nice honor to <br />have them in the Village. <br />Council President Buckholtz requested a motion to amend the agenda. <br />Dr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to add the following items to the agenda: <br />¦ 1St Reading of Ordinance No. 2003-18; <br />¦ amending Ordinance 2003-16 to change the compensation re Pi Society staff to a range of <br />$14-15; <br />¦ authorization of expenditure of $3,889.85 to Lake County Sheriff for prisoner fees <br />Mrs. Mills noted we would be reimbursed for the prisoner fees. Finance Committee <br />recommends approval of Ordinance 2003-16 with the amendment to the salary range -$14-15. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />Service - Mr. Metzung reported he has received pellets to put in the catch basins to prevent <br />mosquito breeding. URS has given out 12 applications for specifications (for S.O.M. Center <br />Road.) We will be opening bids on Friday. Today Tom Cappello, Acting Chief Dearden and I <br />met with O.D.O.T. re S.O.M. Work is scheduled June 1-12. There will be two serious days of <br />work. There will be no impact on 50's Night but the road surface will be about 2%2" shorter. <br />With any luck we will be able to get our resurfacing on Wilson Mills Road approved in 2004. <br />Mr. Riter thanked the Service Department for responding to a complaint he had received from a <br />resident about grass not being cut. (Within 48 hours, the grass was cut.) <br />Mr. Metzung explained the 3 property owners have taken the position since they've sold that <br />portion that we are responsible to maintain the grass because they can't. We will be maintaining <br />it. <br />Building - Mr. Samac said he has nothing new to report concerning the developments in <br />Mayfield Heights. Through the Hatch reports, there are 8-9 properties with a notation that there <br />is an agreement to purchase pending rezoning. Once it is recorded, it will be public.
