Regular Council Meeting <br />5-19-03 <br />Page 3 <br />Council President Buckholtz asked if Mr. Samac is familiar with the Mayfield Heights' schedule <br />as to when these things come up. Mr. Samac said we can go on the web and get meeting dates. He will get schedules out to <br /> <br />everyone. <br />Engineer - Mr. Hovancsek had no report. <br />Legal - Ms. Calta had no report. <br />Fire - Firefighter Panzero said the Fire Department is selling bicycle helmets again. <br />Finance - Mr. Brett said Mayor Rinker had commented about our NRAC status. <br />Police - Lt. Dearden said there is no report. <br />Parks & Recreation - Mr. Thomas said Parks & Recreation will begin accepting Mayfield <br />Village residents for pool passes this Wednesday. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Activities Committee - Mrs. Roman reported the Pancake Breakfast went well. The committee <br />is preparing for SOs Night and the 4th of July celebration (July 5.) ' <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Samac said the Board met on May 8 and approved one <br />addition to a residential dwelling. <br />Board of Auneals - Mr. Samac said the Board met.April 15 and granted 5 variances to Skoda, <br />Minotti for the expansion of their facility on Beta Drive. An appeal of these variances was <br />received and is on the agenda this evening. The OMNUPanzica hotel development was tabled <br />pending the outcome of Planning and Zoning; the board granted a variance for the overall height <br />of the building ??? <br />Cemeterv - Mrs. Mills said students worked today at the cemetery. The Garden Club presented <br />scholarships to 8 horticulture students and 2 High School students <br />Citizen's Advisorv Board - Mr. Riter said the Citizen's Advisory Committee met Apri128. <br />discussion was held about S.O.M. widening. We additionally discussed the continuing concern <br />of noise coming from the car wash. Several members feel the light at sandalwood and S.O.M. <br />should be activated (all the time.) Glass from the recycling truck seems to be ongoing. The <br />committee is glad Council had it on the Caucus agenda. There was also discussion about <br />sinkholes on Hardwood Court. <br />Commission on Agin$! - Mrs. Mills read the report from Mrs. Kalina (attached.)
