Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council. <br />Monday, August 21, 2417 <br />Page 4 <br />COMMENTS FRONd COUNCIL PRESIDENT SAPONARO <br />Mrs. Betsa reported on behalf of Council President Saponaro. With regard to the Commission <br />° on Aging replacement, .Margaret DeMarco has been recommended to serve. If there are.any <br />objections, let ine know right away. Otherwise, we will advise Margaret DeMarco that she will <br />be serving on the Commission on Aging. <br />Also, just a reminder that due to the Labor Day holiday, the next Caucus will be Monday, <br />September l lth. The Council meeting is scheduled for September 25th. <br />DEPART1VIENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />Mary Betsa (Council) - Just a reminder that the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Northeast Ohio <br />Areawide Coordinating Agency is on Friday, September 8ffi at the Global Center for Health <br />Innovation. If you wish to attend, let me know. Also, I received word from the Auditor of <br />State's office that tlie. Presentation on Robert's Rules, scheduled for September 21S' in Reserve <br />Hall from 12:00=4:00 has been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio for 1.50 CLE. Thus far, <br />I have 70 registered to attend from all over the State. If you are interested in attending, please let <br />me know. ' If you cannot attend and_ would like a copy of the handout let me know and I will <br />make sure one is provided to you. <br />Tom Cappello (Engineer) - Just a quick update on the Worton Park, Joyce area watermain. <br />The entire watermain has been installed. It passed the pressure test. Currently all but a small <br />section on Soutli Woodland has passed the chlorination. Once that passes, then they will begin <br />the individual attach for the homes. Hopefully that will be the end of this week, beginning of <br />next. Ron Wynne (Fnnance) - Last week on Thursday, myself and Scott Snyder, the Treasurer for the <br />Mayfield City Schools attended a meeting down at the County to review our five TIF <br />Agreements with the Committee. All five Agreements were deemed to be in compliance and <br />approved for continuation for another year. Those items will be on our agenda next month as a <br />formality to extend them again for another year on our part. <br />Chief Carcioppolo (FYre) - Since the last Council meeting; we went on 96 calls. Sixty-six were <br />EMS and the rest were fire. As of yesterday, we are at 810 calls for the year which is 103 calls <br />more than we were at last year on the same date. I was at the International Association of Fire <br />Chiefs' Council at the last Council meeting and completed the Executive Chief Officer II <br />program. It's a two-year program. I am at the second year of it. I thank Mayor Bodnar for a11 <br />of the support. That's what keeps us up on all of the current trends in the field, at least on an <br />administrative level. We did a little stair chair training at the high school. Awhile back I told <br />you that I was able to get the Hillcrest 100 to donate two stair chairs to the high school to. help <br />with non-ambulatory students that are wheelchair-bound in the event there is an evacuation drill. <br />It helps them facilitate moving kids out of the building while we are responding. They received those and we did some in-service training with them two weeks ago. The only other thing I was
