At the end of this month I will
do projections of what the advances will be and any budget adjustments that you might need to
were fire.
Last yeax as of this date we were at 1,045 calls. This year as of this date we are at 1,162. We are
about 100 calls ahead of where we were last year at this time. We had two members sign up for
the Assistant Fire Chief promotional examination which will be held in March of next year.
Only 4 people have signed up for the full-time examination which will also be given in March.
The only reason I mention that is to illustrate the challenges our field is currently facing with
obtaining people interested in working in our field. That's pretty consistent across the board.
Council President Saponaro asked, is there a deadline for filing an application?
give Chief consideration Carcioppolo to (Fire) during - We next did 111 month's calls Caucus over as the well last as 30 the days - Decem76ber were Council EMS, 35 meeting.
Chief Carcioppolo replied, it's in February. Strategically leaving it open for as long as we could
was part of the plan because of the challenges that are there.
Shane McAvinew (Parks and Recreation) -
. Senior Services - The December trip is to Miss Molly's Tea Room and Castle Noel. The
deadline for snow removal applications was October 4"'. We received 240 applications.
Seniors have until December 31St to submit their opt-out application. If you know anyone
who still has not done that, they have until the 31 St. Foot Clinics are on December 1 St and
15'b. The next Commission on Aging meeting will be January 18th. December's Lunch
and Movie at Governor's Village will be on Wednesday, December 20'h. Also, this year
at the Senior Holiday Party, we will have a special guest Santa Claus this year. He's one
of the Department Heads. See if you, guys can guess who it is. It's not me.
