Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Monday, December 18, 2017 <br />Page 23 <br />Mr. Wynne stated, and if you recall, we were going to do this project the start of this year but we <br />decided to put it on hold because we applied to the Sewer District for funding from them and we <br />did receive a grant of $750,000 to put toward the cost of this project. That is why it is delayed <br />unti12018. <br />Mr. Jerome stated, that's good. Thank you. <br />Council President Saponaro asked, any other discussion? <br />There was none. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All Motion Carried <br />NAYS: None Resolution Adopted <br />18WOT' 1VIATTERS : <br />Council President Saponaro asked, are there any other matters that may come before Council? <br />, Mrs. Mills asked, do you want to make an announcement about the change of ineeting times for <br />next year? <br />Council President Saponaro replied, the 2018 Schedule of Council meeting has been established. <br />On January 8h, the Organizational Meeting will begin at 6:15. The Finance Meeting will be at <br />6:30 and then the Caucus will begin at 7:00 p.m. On January 22na we have a Caucus workshop <br />for Council at 7:00 p.m. On January 29th and going forward for the rest of the year, Caucus and <br />Council meetings will commence at 7:00 p.m. . <br />Council President Saponaro asked, are there any other matters? <br />Mr. Marrie stated, Joe, I just wanted to take a minute and welcome our two new Councilmen to <br />the Village and congratulate them on their win. <br />Mr. Diemert stated, and Mr. President if I can also indicate to Mr. Marrie, I think I have been <br />with you for your entire service here and every Council meeting you have been at. You have <br />done a professional and admiral job in the legislative capacity. The two successors I think are <br />going to be very well-suited. They had their mini-seminar with my office andhad a lot of <br />questions and understood the complexity of Constitutional Law and our Charter and I think they <br />are going to hit the ground running. Merry Christmas to Everyone! <br />Mr. Marrie stated, thank you Joe. <br />Mr. Bill Thomas who was in the audience asked, I would like to make a quick comment. As the <br />former Recreation Director, I also want to thank Mr. Marrie for all of the support and guidance <br />and advice that you have given the Department and myself over the years. I know you will be <br />sorely missed.
