ORDINANCE NO. 2018-23 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />EXHIBIT A - UIV1VgAI2KED VEItSION <br />955A1 PLJRPOSE. <br />The purpose of this chapter shall be to investigate and evaluate requests for surface drainage <br />and infrastructure improvements to help improve yard drainage of residential properties within <br />the Village and to provide partial funding for certain qualifying improvements. <br />(Ord. 2000-12. Passed 7-17-00.) <br />955.02 INFRAS'Y'RUCT'URE IMPROVEMENTS. <br />Infiastructure improvements may include but are not limited to area drains and associated <br />piping, driveway culvert pipe, drain tile and other stonn and sanitary water piping. <br />(Ord. 2000-12. Passed 7-17-00.) <br />955.03 DRAINAGE IIVIPROVEMENTS. <br />Drainage improvements may include but are not limited to swales to control the flow of <br />surface water; the removal of earth and other natural physical obstructions to the flow of surface <br />water; the installation of piping to control water flow; the redefining of existing swales and <br />waterways; the control of erosion along existing ditches and streams; the maintenance of existing <br />swales and area basins. <br />(Ord. 2000-12. Passed 7-17-00.) <br />955.04 DRAINAGE AND INFRASTRUCTLTRE COMMITTEE. <br />The Drainage and Infrastructure Committee shall consist of the Service Director, Building <br />Commissioner, Village Engineer, two (2) Village residents appointed by the Mayor, and three (3) <br />at large Council members. Only the two Village residents and three Council members shall be <br />voting members on this Committee. <br />(Ord. 2000-12. Passed 7-17-00.) <br />955.05 PROJECT EVALUA'I'IONS AND PRIORITY. <br />Evaluation and priority of projects shall be made by the Drainage and Infrastructure <br />Committee according to the following criteria: <br />(a) Total estimated cost of project; <br />(b) The number of contiguous properties effected, and the extent to which the effects <br />of the project benefit the residents and Village as a whole, as opposed to a single property <br />owner; <br />(c) The percentage of the property affected by standing water, and the length of time <br />standing water or saturated ground remains on the property after a rain event;; <br />(d) The amount of damage, if any, sustained to structures and landscaping on the <br />property; and
