Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, October 15, 2018
Page 5
Council President Saponaro asked, and the aprons are going to be concrete?
Mr. Cappello replied, coi7•ect. That's basically the update on that project. The Beta project, t11e
storm relief, that sewer was tested and it passed. They have paved the trail. I don't know if you
noticed that; on Beta Drive. They still have to finish the restoration on that side of the trail and
back in the wooded area and finish the restoi•ation on the Sei-vice Department asphalt in the back.
They are in the process of putting the topsoil down on the bottoin of the basin. The basin is
essentially excavated. They are getting ready to do the final seeding there. There's a concrete
channel that goes in on the northern one, the newer basin. It's a flow chaimel. They still have to
do that. So that project is close to being done also.
Council President Saponaro asked, we have no concerns for any of the concrete or asphalt as it
gets colder? We are running up against it.
Mr. Cappello replied, correct. We follow the State specifications. If they fall within the
specification, yes. We should be fine.
Council President Saponaro stated, thank you. Any questions? I am going to jump back to Mrs.
Wolgamuth. I have a question for you on the survey for the Master Plan. Do you have anything
to share with us regarding responses to that? I do have one thing; the link that was on that piece
of paper, unless you put an underscore between something and mv3 whatever, it won't work. It
wasn't clear on that.
Ms. Wolgamuth stated, we will check that. The survey is also available on the home page of our
website at the top banner. There's a Master Plan button. There should be a link there also. I
think we have got about 80 back so far. We will actually be tallying those here because this is a
separate thing we are doing from the Planning Commission. Once we get the results, we will
definitely share them.
Council President Saponaro stated, if you have not gone on-line, if you can, it's the easiest thing
to do. The way you set it up, I don't know if it was your brainchild or not, it was terrific. Very
simple. You answer what the highest priority is. I thought it was great. The only suggestion I
would have on the survey is sometimes any of the responses are not acceptable but then you
don't respond and I don't know if that counts as a no vote or how that works.
Ms. Wolgamuth replied, on the paper survey we did add a column for no so that people can
specifically say this is not a priority for me.
Counci] President Saponaro stated, so if someone doesn't answer on-liile, it still can be
considered the same way?
Ms. Wolgamutll replied, correct.
Council President Saponaro stated, I tllought }-ou did a gi-eat job, so than]c yoti.
