I just wanted to mention a Press Release
that came out today from the DEA. Last week, there was the culmination of a long investigation
that resulted in a bunch of warrants and 22 people being indicted for drug trafficking specifically
in Northeast Ohio and in this area. The SPAN Drug Enforcement Unit was part of that
investigation and our SWAT team assisted with some of the search warrants. I just wanted to
mention the Press Release. That kind of shows the importance of having those special units and
how they work together to try to deal with some of the problems around the area. Everybody did
a great job.
Council President Saponaro stated, thank you very much.
Doug Metzung (Service) — Thank you Council President. I just wanted to make a note that we
need to amend the agenda when we get to the motion for the purchase of the trees for the Spring
planting. Between the time of the quote and now, they have sold 7 of the trees that we had hoped
to get so the cost now from Lake County Nursery is $7,342.
Council Saponaro asked, $7,342?
