DRAFT
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday. May 20. 2019
Page 6
Council President Saponaro stated, thank you Chief. I appreciate that. My comments, not to
belabor, but, Mike, not only have you been an integral part of our Village but we have been
friends for a very long time. You have made a big impact on everyone that has had the privilege
to work with you. There's not a time that someone has not reached out and you have not been
very amenable to address whatever needs they may have. You have a terrific personality for it.
You make people feel comfortable, but you get your job done. I wish you the best. Don't leave
the Village.
Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal Girbino stated, I am staying. We like it here.
Council President Saponaro stated, we love having you here.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
Resolution Adopted
— For Public Comment (5 -minute limit imposed by Chair)
There was no discussion.
DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:
John Marrelli (Building)
Architectural Review Board — We met on the 91h and approved an addition on a Worton
Park home and a detached garage on North Aintree.
Mary Betsa (Council) — Previously reported was the Ethics training for Wednesday June 19th
At this time, there is 'a waiting list, but if you wish to attend, please let me know and I will try to
get you in.
Records Commission — We will be meeting on Tuesday, July 91h at 12:00 at Wiley Park
(Civic Hall if the weather does not cooperate). I would like to thank Laurie Hughes,
Maura McKinley, Frank Agh, Susan Jerome and Patsy Mills for all their assistance for
the event, which was a huge success.
Mrs. Mills reported, according to the man shredding, he said we shred at least 10,000
pounds of paper that day in the rain. It always rains on that day. The 10,000 pounds are
the 425 boxes the girls handled all day long. My job is to post every box that is shred. I
thank everyone that helped. 11 was a ver} productive day.
