Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday., July 15. 20 19
Page 3
Mr. Marrelli replied, I believe it's 10:00.
Mr. Christian continued, I was told a long time ago it's 9:00. When did it change to 10?
Mr. Marrelli replied, you can go on the website and look it up.
Mr. Christian stated, okay. Fine. Then why did the concert at The Grove run until 10:30?
Mr. Marrelli stated, that's a whole other subject.
Mr. Christian stated, because I listened to it all evening long. Boom boom boom boom boom in my
living room. It's getting to be a problem. I don't know what the residents who live closer think
about it because they don't show up at Council meetings but I am sure they are not happy with the
whole situation at The Grove and I'm not happy with the situation that I have to pay for it. Thank
you.
Council President Saponaro stated, thank you, Mr. Christian. Is there anyone else?
There were no further comments.
DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS:
John Marrelli (Building) — We had no meetings in the past two weeks, so there's nothing to
report.
Mary Betsa (Council) — Records Commission met last week. The next meeting will be scheduled following finalization of the
records schedules.
Shane McAvinew (Parks and Recreation) -
Commission on Aging — Commission on Aging just met. We discussed upcoming
activities. Senior Night at the Grove is July 20`n from 6:30-9:30. This is in combination
with the Community Partnership on Aging and Governor's Village. They will be giving
away free ice cream to the first 500 seniors who come through. There is also a Senior
Homecoming Dance scheduled for Friday, October 18`n. We will be crowning a king and
queen. Our next meeting is on September 121n
Parks and Recreation — We had a planning session today before this meeting and
discussed upcoming parties that will come out in our Fall brochure that we are currently
working on. We are changing times somewhat. We are still struggling to get Santa
around Mayfield Village and back in time for the party.
Senior Services — We have a handful of trips coming up. We are going to the Blueberry
Patch on July 26`n. We have a Lunch N Movie on the 10' and Lunch N Movie at
