Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council <br />Tuesday, January 21, 2020 <br />Page 10 <br />District to Small Office Building District." That is the old schoolhouse which is on the National <br />Registry of Historic Places that will be renovated for office. It is a part of the school property so <br />that will be also a separate legal description that's attached to the Ordinance. That legal <br />description is consistent with what was passed by Council. That also maintains an address on <br />Wilson Mills Road and it's fronted on SOM. At one point, people said it had a SOM Center <br />address but technically it's part of the school property. So that will be split out and if a majority <br />of the voters approve it, that zoning change will also be put into effect. <br />Lastly, the Charter Review Commission was sworn in tonight. I will be attending the first <br />meeting if it's a go for February P I believe. I will explain the importance of reviewing the <br />Charter. The Charter is the Constitution of the Village of Mayfield so it's very important it be <br />reviewed periodically and I will be available for guidance as the Commission meets as well. I <br />will attend the first meeting and give them some guidance on how to review the Charter for any <br />suggested changes. <br />End of report unless there are questions. <br />Mr. Meyers asked, on the property on SOM Center, is there a physical address for that <br />Permanent Parcel or no? It just says SOM Center Road. <br />Mr. Coyne replied, 730 is the property to the rear technically. <br />Mr. Meyers asked, are they going to add it to the language? Because people, how do they put the <br />parcel to where the location is? <br />Mr. Coyne replied, because it's a legal description that's tied to the Permanent Parcel No. and <br />that's the legal address. You can have a parcel, for example if it becomes multi -family property <br />in a community and there are 20 townhouses. <br />Mr. Meyers asked, so the voters are going to have to look up the parcel to see what it is <br />basically? <br />Mr. Coyne replied, no. <br />Mr. Meyers stated, I am just asking because normal people wouldn't look it up that way. They <br />would give a reference to an address. <br />Mr. Coyne replied, but legally the address is not precise. The legal description tied to the <br />Permanent Parcel No. is what's precise. Addresses can change. That's why it's established that <br />way. It's pretty common. If they choose to look up the ordinance, it has the exact legal <br />description meets and bounds. It's always nice to have an address if it's available, but this one <br />does not. <br />Mr. Meyers stated, for reference for the voters because most people wouldn't know. <br />Mr. Coyne stated, if it doesn't have one though, it doesn't have one. <br />
