Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Tuesday, January 21, 2020
Page 11
Mr. Meyers stated, right. Okay. I understand. Thank you.
Mayor Bodnar stated, we intend to send out a postcard probably late in February. It's about
Issues 10 and 11. We will identify the property related to Issue 10 and the property related to
Issue 11. One of them doesn't have a street address number, but we will explain that the
property is the Moyal property.
Mr. Coyne stated, if I can add, I am also working with the Administration to have a Voice of the
Village article which will mention the addresses, but I am just saying, technically it's the
Permanent Parcel No. in the legal description attached to the Ordinance which the Board of
Elections would never let you put on the ballot because then the ballot would turn into a phone
book.
Mr. Meyers stated, thank you.
Council President Schutt stated, thank you. Anything else?
There were no further comments.
Shane McAvinew (Parks and Recreation)
Commission on Aging — We met on January 9th. We provided an update with the
programs going on at the Recreation Department and Gazebo. Wendy Sattin was there
to discuss the CPA. The big point was they added Richmond Heights to the alliance.
They reviewed the Holiday Party for last year and discussed things they would do
different. Dates that people might want to put on their calendar for events coming up:
Valentine's Day Card Party Group — Tuesday, February 11t; Anniversary Party — Friday,
May 8th; Senior Picnic a Parkview Pool — Friday, July 3st; Homecoming Dance — Friday,
October 23`d; Holiday Party- Friday, December 11 h.
Parks and Recreation — We met on the 15th of this month. The prime discussion was
the Santa Ride and Party and how we can get Santa there on time. We also talked about
the Entertainment and Community Guide which you should be receiving by the end of
February or early March with entertainment by mid-April.
Senior Services — AARP assistance with taxes are on 2/10, 3/16 and 4/6. It's by
appointment only. The Lunch `N Learn is on Friday, February 7 t presented by Citizen's
Bank on fraud. On the 0 we have Name That Tune. Yesterday, Donna had a trip
preview. It went very well. Over 100 people attended. A lot of trips are filled up at this
point.
OLD BUSINESS
• Third Reading of Ordinance No. 2019-22, entitled, "An ordinance repealing, in its
entirety, Chapter 125 relative to the Ordinance Review Committee." Introduced by
Mayor Bodnar (First Reading — November 18, 2019; Second Reading — December 16,
2019) (Administration)
Mr. Murphy, seconded by Mr. Meyers, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 2019-22.
