Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council
Monday, July 20, 2020
Page 5
Mayor's salary as well as providing access to healthcare and other benefits currently
offered to full time staff.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best Regards,
Mary Salomon
477 Hickory Hill Drive
I just wanted to let you know that I am very much in favor of the proposed raise/benefits
for the mayor as well as the modest increases for the council. The amount of work needed
for the mayor to really support the Village justifies the request. I am glad the village is
considering. taking this to the residents for a vote: that is the most upfront fair way to deal
with this.
Cheers & stay healthy, -
Jim. Farmer
6515 Derby Drive
Marybeth, I wanted to get you something in writing regarding my support of the new
ordinance increasing both the Mayor's and Council Members' compensation. The Village may be relatively
small population wise, but with the great business base we want to maintain, our excellent
schools, and unsurpassed services we need to attract and keep highly qualified leaders in
place.
Mary C. Nichols-Brondfield
6794 Metro Park Drive
Mayfield Village, Ohio 44143
As a citizen of Mayfield Village for over twenty-five years I would like to say I
disapprove of the lucrative pay increase with benefits for the mayor and the pay
increase for members of council.
During these unprecedented times with a pandemic sweeping our country and the
world I find it unconscionable that you would determine this is the time to proceed
and pass votes for yourselves to receive pay raises. A pay raise for the mayor which
is over 100 % if we include medical benefits is ridiculous. A community on par
with the village would be Richmond Heights and the salary their mayor earns seems
