I have a few things tonight. First of all, I wanted to thank Shane
and Team Rec and Frank and the Service Department and everyone who worked on or volunteered
for the Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast. It was really a beautiful event. I think everyone who
went had a good time, so thank you. I know it took a lot of hard work, but once you get here, it's
very relaxing. The music was great. The entertainment was wonderful, so thank you very much.
Also, I wanted to thank Mary Beth for Shred Day which was on Saturday. I was at a soccer game,
but I am sure it was very successful. We know that you put in a lot of work to again make it run
seamlessly so everyone in the Village can get rid of all of the stuff they need to get rid of. Thank
you for that.
Just a reminder, our Memorial Day Services are coming up this weekend. I wish everyone a Happy
Memorial Day. If you are inclined, our services are on Sunday at 1:00 in the afternoon at
Whitehaven. These are really cute programs that Shane put together for us. Everyone should have
a copy of the program. It was designed by Center School Kindergarteners. If you can come, that
would be great. Did I mention there were donuts?
Swearing -In Ceremony - Lieutenant Joshua Manypenny
Swearing -In Ceremony - Sergeant Andy Duffy
We are here this evening to congratulate our new Police Lieutenant Joshua Manypenny and our
new Police Sergeant Andy Duffy. Gentlemen, you obviously have raised the bar for your
department and for families. We congratulate you on this achievement. We thank everyone from
the Police Department from the top down for the work you do every day to protect and defend us
and keep the peace. It's not easy to be a police officer. We know that. The job gets more
challenging every year. Thank you for all you do and thank you for being here to support each
other.
Mayor Bodnar administered the oath of office to Lieutenant Joshua Manypenny.
Mayor Bodnar administered the oath of office to Sergeant Andy Duffy.
