PLANNING COMMISSION <br />J ? <br />MAY 26, 1987 <br />PAGE 3 <br />It was pointed out that part of the addition and the loading area are <br />encroaching into the 50 foot rear set back which is required since it <br />is adjacent to residential property; and also part of the building will <br />be over a lot line. The owner decided to withdraw these plans and will <br />resubmit revised, conforming.plans at a later date. <br />6) McDonald's Restaurant, 27322 Lorain Road <br />Proposal to construct small additions and revision to site plan including <br />parking, landscaping, and signage. <br />Mr, P. Beganey, representing McDonald's, explained that they will be <br />renovating and expanding their restrooms, expanding the drive through <br />booth and adding a new canopy, extending the drive through driveway, <br />relocating the dumpster, adding a vestibule on the side door, and upgrading <br />the exteri,or of the building with new brick and shingles. There will <br />also be interior alterations. The existing signs will remain. They will <br />be reducing the number of seats from 120 to 100, but the will continue <br />to have 65 parking spaces. They are attempting to acquire some additional <br />property to add more parking. Mrs. Kordish, a member of the audience, <br />complimented McDonalds for these renovations, adding that they are long <br />PVerdue, B. Gorris moved to refer the McDonalds renovations to the <br />Azchi,tectural Board of Review for their input, and to the Safety and <br />Engineering Denartments for their input, seconded by R. Bierman, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVTSTONS: <br />1) Assembly Plat for Angelo Papotto, Jr. and Denise Papotto <br />The proposal is to assemble permanent parcels 232-13-8 and 232-13-9 into <br />a single parcel. Parcels are zoned General Retail, Business and the <br />assembled parcel will contain the existing structure (Suburban Auto Body) <br />and the proposed parking improvements. Approved by Planning Commission <br />and Council previously. <br />Mr. Papotto, the owner? explained that this assembly had been required <br />by.the Law-Department. City Engineer Schaller explained that if the <br />Mill itoad frontage was consi'dered the front of the property, this would <br />be a conforming_lotp however, the address of the property is on Dover <br />Center, J.. Thomas. moved to app.rove the assembly of the two plats 232-13-8 <br />and 232-,13-9 as indicated on the plans subject to the approval of the <br />Ena-:neering Department, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. <br />V. COMMUNiCATIONS: <br />Members have received letters from.the Mayor regarding a combined meeting <br />of the Boards and Cammissions on May 27, 1987. <br />IV.
