<br />PLANNING CQMMISSION <br />OCTOBER 27, 1987 <br />PArE 2 • . ?. <br />advised Mr. Bierman that he did not know whether the blue trim was <br />on the rear wall, but whatever is presently there, they will continue <br />on the rear addition as stated at the Architectural Board meeting. <br />T. Morgan moved to anprove nrovosal to construct an addition to the <br />rear and side of the building f.or Sneedy Muffler consistant with the <br />plans shown this evening and with the recommendations of the Architectural <br />Board-of Review relative to the fence and the trim on the rear wall, <br />seconded b_y M. Betts, and unanimouslv auproved. <br />2) John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Road <br />Pronosal to construct additions <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review October 21, 1987. <br />Mr. Serne, architect, nresented plans for the additions. Chairman <br />Burns advised that the Safety Department and the forester had no <br />objections. Building Commissioner Conway advised that he had a <br />description of the parking and has no problem with it. lur. Gorris is <br />concerned since the parking requirements are based on a shared basis <br />that if the use of the church'would ever change there would not be <br />sufficient narking in the General Retail District (rear nroperty is <br />zoned Residential). The church could add parking on the residentiallv <br />zoned land since a church is a nermitted use. It was nointed out that <br />if the use did ciiange,parking could be allowed in the front set back. <br />R. Bierman moved to approve the vroposal to construct an addition to <br />the John Knox Presbyterian Church at 25200 Lorain Road subject to the <br />req_uirements of the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by T. Morgan., <br />and unanimously apvroved. <br />3) Electxic Cordsets, Inc, 31400 Bradley Road <br />Proposal to construct office building in Limited Industrial District. <br />(.Variance granted liy the Board of Zoning Appeals 0'ctober 7, 1987). <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review October 21, 1987. <br />Mr. Dayidson, architect, and Mr. Davis, representing Electric Cordsets <br />nresented the plans, Assistant Law Director Dubelko advised that the <br />Building Commissioner's intrepretation of_ the code is that parking is <br />nermitted in the front of the building as long as it is located behind <br />the minimum front set back line. The Safety Department had no objections <br />to the nroDosal. The forester requested that the trees on the nronertv <br />to the north and the Locust trees on the building site next to the <br />road, not be disturbed. Mr. Davidson stated that they intended to save <br />those trees. The Architect.ural Review Board had apnroved plans as <br />submitted. R. Bi.erman moved to approve construction -of an office buil.d= <br />ing at 31400 Bradley Road for Electric Cordsets, Incorporated, seconded <br />bv B. Gorris, and unanimously anproved. <br />4) Great Northern Shonning Center; <br />Proposal to change color on one <br />used on entire building. <br />Plaza South <br />building and definition of materials <br />Mr. Carlisle, Biskind Development Company, explained that they are re- <br />questing to change the raspberry color of the southern most building of <br />Plaza South since the color scheme has not been as successful as thev
