BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS JANUARY 6, 1988 PAGE 3 <br />3. H. W. Zwingelberg, 4516 Camellia Lane <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to store motor home in <br />front set back. Also request variance to have more than 1 recreational <br />vehicle on property. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02-k. (Note: <br />inoperable car on property.) <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Zwingelberg, his.son, and a neighbor, Mr. Bene. Mr. <br />Zwingelberg explained that after he purchased his motor home, he discovered <br />it would not fit under the overhang of his house on the side of the property. <br />Mr. Bene stated that he objected to the looks of the vehicles in the drive, <br />and that frequently cars had to park over the sidewalk; he stated that this <br />situation is not consistant with the neighborhood. Chairman Remmel read the <br />secion of the code regarding recreational vehicles. Mr. Zwingelberg questioned <br />if they could dig down approximately 6" on the side of the house so the vehicle <br />could be parked there and stated they could dispose of the boat. Building <br />Commissioner Conway advised that they would have to get approval from the <br />Engineering Department before they could lower their property. Mr. Zwingelberg <br />stated that when he sotred his motor home in storage lots on other occassions <br />it had been vandalized. C. Remmel moved to grant a variance to store a motor <br />home in the front set back of Mr. Zwingelberg's home at 4516 Camellia Lane, <br />seconded by J. Helon. Roll call on motion: Remmel, Helon, Bugala, and Grace, <br />no. Motion failed to pass. R. Bugala moved to grant the variance to have more <br />than 1 recreati:onal vehicle on the property, seconded by C. Rommel. Roll call <br />on motion: Bugala, Remmel,. Grace; and Helon, no. :Motion failed to nass. <br />?Variances denied.. Mr. Remmel stated that Mr. Zwingelberg could probabl_y have <br />thirty to sixty days to comply and he should check with.the Building Commissioner. <br />4. Fred J. Hurley Builder, Sublot 39 (corner of Pebblebroolc and Walnut Lanes). . <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 4 foot rear y.ard variance. Violation <br />of.-Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested narties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Hurley. Chairman Remmel advised that a letter had been <br />reeieved from Sunrise Development.supporting the-request. This is a small <br />encroachment. C. Remmel moved to grant the 4 foot rear yard variance for <br />Mr. Fred Hurley Builder, at the corner of-Pebblebrook Lane and Walnut Lane, <br />seconded by B. Grace, and unanimousl:y approved. Variance granted. <br />5. Lloyd Barker Big "0" Jeep, 27500 Lorain Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 310 sq. ft. variance for pole sign <br />(replacing existing ground sign). Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06-f(4). <br />Also request 11 ft. 3-3/4 inch variance for height of pole. Violation of Ord. <br />'. 87-93, Section 1163.06-g. Also request 354 sq.. ft. variance for total sign <br />area. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06-d. Also request variance to <br />have more than one pole sign on property. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section <br />1163.06-b(4). <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to K. Miller, Brilliant Electirc Sign Co, E. Mulhorn, representing <br />the owner, Councilmen McKay and Wilamosky,.neighbor, T. Herbster, and E. Frick, <br />a resident.
