?

PLANNING COMMISSION SEPTEMBER 12, 1989 PAGE 5
experts in the area of sound barriers. The members decided that this
proposal would be tabled in order to refer to the Engineering Department,
the forester, and also for input as to lighting since the difference in
grade could result in lights shining into residences. M. Betts moved to
table the Nemeth Commercial building proposal to construct an addition
to the parking area with the following directions: that we refer this
to the City Engineer in reference to contacting sound barrier experts
to advise us on those issues; that we request a formal position from the
city forester either on paper or in person relative to the barrier recom-
mendations included and the trees on the lot in general; and we also
strike from this plan the request or intent to clear the site beyond the
point of the parking addition, in other words, where the future building
is ske.tched that there be no clearing of the site on that portion; and
that you also extend the eastern barrier that you have on your property
(that 6 foot fence that you have) to coincide with the proposed parking
addition, that you extend it another 75 feet on the eastern side,
seconded by T. Morgan. Roll call on motion: Betts, Morgan, Bierman,
and Bowen, yes. Mr. Gorris, no.
