• . r w
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS : FEBRUARY 1, 1989 PAGE 2
Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was
administered to Mr. Mise, Biskind Development Company, who explained that there
is still space available in the Corporate Center and they would like these
signs until the offices are leased or at the least for 1 year. Board prefers
the variance be granted for a specified period of time. R. Gomersall moved
to grant the request to continue the variance for temporary leasing signs over
4 square feet and to continue the variance to have 2 signs on the property
for Great Northern Corporate Center, 25000 Country Club Blvd for one year,
seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. Variances granted.
1. Hennie Homes, 5570 Pheasants Walk Dr. S/L 9
Request for variance (1123.12). Request 1 foot side yard variance for corner
lot. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.06(b).
Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was
administered to W. Welke, Hennie Homes, who explained that this is one of
their basic models, but because this is a corner lot a variance is needed.
Board has no problem with the request. J. He7.on moved to grant the request
for a 1 foot side yard variance for a corner lot for Hennie Homes, 5570
Pheasants Walk, sublot 9, seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved.
Variance granted.
2. Hennie Homes, Tnc. 5553 Pheasants Walk, S/L 45
Request for variance (1123.12). Request 4 foot rear yard variance to construct
dwelling. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08(a).
Mr. Welke had been sworn in previously. He explained that the customer chose
an elevation that has the garage extended out farther and in order to keep
the front set back in line a variance would be required. He pointed out that
the rear yard is heavily wooded. T. Restifo moved to grant the 4 foot rear
yard variance for Hennie Homes, Inc., 5553 Pheasants Walk, S/L 45-, seconded by
R. Gomersall, and unanirnously approved. Variance granted.
3. Risman-Bundas Shopping Center, 26114-20 Lorain Rd.
No representative present at this time. Request 125 square foot variance for area of
house in "C" residential district. Violation of Ord, 87-93, Section 1135.03(c).
Also request variance to delay construction of garage until 1 year after
occupancy. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1161.08(a)-1. (Proposal was
heard by the Board of Building Code Appeals on January 26, 1989).
Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was
administered to Mr. Exner. Mr. Bugala pointed out that the lot is quite deep
and that the proposed garage was to be constructed exactly 20 feet from the
house, and in the event they would ever want an enclosed patio a variance
would be needed.
