Mrs. <br />Benedict stated that there seesn to be some gravel beds whi.ch direct the <br />water to their property and questioned if water from this property could <br />be drained toward Lorain Road. Mr. Deichmann advised that the the City's <br />requirements are now more stringent and will require a larger bed to <br />accomnodate more water. The Engineering Department will inspect the site <br />and review the plans. Mr. Thomas advised that they should landbank as <br />many spaces as possible and show more landscaping; move the dumpster <br />further away from the residential area and shield with more landscaping; <br />address the neighbors problems personally; and present revised.plans to <br />the Architectural Board. Mr. Bowen suggested that the forester review as <br />to the type of planting would grow in the rear since it is so damp. M. <br />Betts moved to refer the Chand Building, proposal to construct an office <br />building, to the Architectural Review Board, to the City's Engineering <br />and Safety Departments and to the City's forester with the following <br />thoughts in mind: there needs to be a thorough. review o€ drainage <br />requirements of this development with some encouragement to consider as <br />many options as possible to ensure proper drainage considerations to the <br />neighboring land owners and also review some of tlie existing drainage; <br />some creative work should be done on landbanking parking on the parcel <br />to max;m;ze green space; in conjunction with that there need to be a <br />detailed landscaped plan developed in order to itemize the <br />recommendations of what is to be planted on the parcel and make sure <br />that is reviewed by the City forester in terms of gaining feed back on <br />what is viable given the drainage considerations on that parcel there <br />also needs to be provisions for handicapped parking requirements and <br />loading zones; and in conjunction with landscaping to the rear of the <br />parcel please show provisions in detail for fencing and screening, <br />seconded by B. Ma.ddock, architect, <br />presented plans for the eight acre, multi-family zoned parcel fronting <br />on Brookpark Road, with access from Clague Road on the east and from <br />Mastick Road on the south. There is a strip of land parallel to their <br />land which is zoned single family and will be used as a buffer between <br />their development and the properties facing Mastick Road. The <br />development will consist of 132 suites, 16 suites per acre which <br />conforms to code; a variance was granted to have 3 stories, thus <br />exceeding the 22 story limitation; there will be open parking spaces and <br />garages spaces which also conform. There will be recreational <br />facilities, pool, clubhouse, etc. They plan to maintain as many of the <br />trees as possible on the heavily wooded site (trees 6 inches or larger <br />3
