i . <br />Thomas, and unanimously approved. B. Gorris moved to approve the Sunrise <br />Development Company lot split of Land located along the North Olmsted <br />Industrial Parkway indicated as sublot no. 7, seconded by J. Thoma.s, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />V. COMMCTNICATIONS: <br />No items. <br />VI. CONINBTTEE REPORTS : <br />No items. <br />VII. NEW BIJSINESS : <br />Election of Officers: <br />Chairman Thomas advised that it is customary to elect the vice-chairman as <br />chairman, but Mr. Betts has declined at this time. T. Morgan moved to <br />nominate Mr. Gorris as chairman, seconded by J. Thomas. Mr. Thomas_moved that <br />nominations be closed. Roll call on motion: Morgan, Thomas,..Betts, Bierman, <br />Bowen, and Orlowski, yes. Mr. Gorris, no. Motion carried. Mr. Gorris was <br />elected as chairman. <br />Chairman Thomas moved to nominate Mr. Bowen as vice. chairman. Mr. Bowen <br />declined. J. Thomas moved to nominate Mr. Orlowski as vice chairman, seconded <br />by T. Morgan. Mr.. Thomas moved that nominations be closed. Roll call on <br />motion: Thomas, Morgan, Betts, Bierman, Bowen, and Gorris, yes. Mr. <br />Orlowski, no. Motion carried. Mr. Orlowski was electeel as vice chairmano <br />Mre Bowen agreed to continue on as secretary. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Review of proposed Zoning Codes. <br />Chairman Thoma.s advised that the 90 day postponement for the review of these <br />codes would be up in January and any recomnendations must be presented to the <br />Council. These suggestions weuid not have to be amended immediately, but could <br />be done at a later time. At the suggestion of Mr. Dubelko, the proposed <br />changes should be attached to the Commission's recommendations of approval. <br />Any problems should be dealt with before,they come up during enforcement of <br />the codes as they are used. A letter from the.City Engineer stated various <br />items which should be. studied and reconunendations from the Building <br />Commissioner which will_.be.completed and attached. Mr. Thomas stated that <br />Section 1149, the Mixed Use District is the one that he- believes should be . <br />amended immediately since it contains everything now in Mixed Use District, "A","B", and "C", but would add Mi.xed Use District "D" pertaining to senior <br />housing, cluster housing etc. He believes that this is very important because <br />there is a request coming up shortly for a rezon;ng from the Limi:ted • -. <br />Industrial District to Multi-Family. Assistant Law Director Dubelko explained <br />that he used the proposed Section 1149 as it appeared in the proposed codes <br />and added the changes in capital letters. Mr. Thomas stated that Mr. Dubelko <br />had a concern that these changes could incur law suites from some of the <br />owners of snaller parcels of land, since this code rules out development of
