P ? • <br />or, request 15.2 square foot variance for total sign area to keep existing wall <br />sign (calculated on variance being granted for second pole sign for Carter <br />Plaza). Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06(d). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Feran and Mr. Delvecchio, owners. Mr. Carter, owner of the <br />plaza, came forward later and had been sworn in previously. The owners <br />explained that they had faces made for the existing cabinet and found out later <br />the previous tenant had not obtained a permit. Building Commissioner Conway <br />explained that he ha.d given them a permit for a temporary sign Lmtil they could <br />apply for a variance, but if the variance is not granted the sign would have to <br />be removed. It was clarified that since the previous request foz Carter Plaza <br />had been denied they need an 8.2 square foot variance to keep the wall sign. J. <br />Helon moved to grant the request of I Can't Believe It's Yogurt at 24753 Lorain <br />Road for an 8,2 square foot variance for total sign area., seconded by R. <br />Gomersall, and Lmanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />4. Kevin Weller, 5141 Andrus Ave. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 13 foot rear yard variance to construct <br />an addition. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08. Also request 8 foot <br />variance for distance between addition and garage. Violation of Ord. 87-93, <br />Section 1135.02(c)l. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. and rlrs. Weller. Mr. Bugala stated that he thought the <br />addition was too large and too close to the garage and that the neighbor next <br />door had objected. (She was not present). The other members had no problem <br />with the request. Mr. Weller agreed to fire proof the garage. R. Gomersall <br />moved to grant the 13 foot rear yard variance to construct an addition and also, <br />to grant the 8 foot variance for the distance between the addition and the <br />garage for Kevin Weller, 5141 Andrus Avenue with the provision that the garage <br />wall parallel to the house have 5/8 inch fire code dry wall installed on the <br />interior, seconded by J. Helon. Roll call on motion: Gomersall, Helon, Grace, <br />and Restifo, yes. Mr. Bugala, no. Motion carried. Variance granted. <br />5. Raymond W. Klesta, 5907 Barton Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 2.5 foot front setback variance to <br />construct an addition. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.06(a). Also <br />request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling. Special permission <br />required Ord. 87-93, Section 1165.02. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. and Mrs. Klesta and neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Boskins, who had <br />no objection. Members had no problem with the request. J. Helon moved to grant <br />the 2.5 foot front set back variance to construct addition and the special <br />permit to Raymond W. Klesta, 5907 Barton Road, seconded by T. Restifo, and <br />unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />6. Margot and Ron Skirpstas, 23423 Alexander Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to install fence on adjacent <br />vacant lot and request 3 foot 6 inch height variance for fence in front setback <br />(house has non conforming front set back) Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section <br />1135.02-(h)1. <br />3
