Restifo moved to grant the variance for Edward and Sandra Varga, <br />23947 LeBern Drive, a request for a 2 foot side yard variance to construct a <br />detached garage, seconded by B. Grace, and unanimously approved. Variance <br />granted. <br />11. Thomas W. Corcoran, 3994 Walter Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 150 square foot variance for garage <br />area (rear yard less than 4,200 square feet). Building permit issued. Violation <br />of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02-(d)1. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />admi.nistered to Mr. Corcoran and Mr. Manzuk, neighbor. Mr. Corcoran explained <br />that he was gi.ven a pamphlet by the city which stated that a garage could not be <br />more than 750 square footo He purchased a 720 square foot garage and got a <br />permit to construct a mew garage and a permit t'o demolish the old one. After <br />that an inspector told him that this garage was too large for the lot. The <br />members had no problem with the request. Mr. Marizuk stated that it would be <br />better to -have his equipment inside the garage rather than piled next to the <br />garage. The neighbor to the other side had called saying that he had no <br />objection. Building Comn.issioner Conway asked if the shed was to remain since <br />it had not been shown on the original site plan. Mr. Corcoran agreed to remove <br />tYie shed advising that he would give it to his neighbor. He was told to have <br />his neighbor get a building permi.t to install it on his property. B. Grace <br />moved to grant the 150 square foot variance for garage area (rear yard less than <br />4,200 square feet) for which a building permit has been issued for Thomas W. <br />Corcoran, 3994 Walter Road, with the provision that the shed be removed, <br />seconded by T. Restifo, and tmanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />12. Edwin and Patricia Green, 27956 Southern Ave. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 658 square foot variance to construct <br />detached garage (existing shed to be removed). Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section (correctic <br />1135.02-(c)l. made by <br /> R.Bugala <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. the oath was on 10/3/9( <br />administered to Mr. and Mrs. Green and their contractor Mr. Hamper. Mr. Bugala <br />believes this is much too big and encroaches on. neighbors ae?'-t13e-streel:; northe <br />since this is a corner lot. Mr. Green explained that none of his neighbors <br />objected and that a driveway Frill be installed from the side street. Members <br />agreed that this is much too big. Mrs. Green stated that they have had their <br />motor home vandalized in the past and would like to keep it and another car in <br />the garage and they will be removing the shed. Mr. Grace stated that the garage <br />would look better than the mobile home in the back yard. T. Restifo moved to <br />grant a variance to Edwin arid Patricia Green at 27956 Southern Avenue for a 658 <br />square foot variance to construct a detached garage with the stipulation that <br />the a paved driveway be installed.and the shed being removed, seconded by B. <br />Grace. Roll call on motion: Restifo and Grace, yes. Gomersall, Helon, and <br />Bugala, no. Motion failed to pass. Variance denied. They were advised that <br />the only appeal is to the Comnon Appeals Court and would have to be made within <br />10 calendar days. <br />13. Ruth Guarnieri, 3053 Walter Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 2 foot setback variance for chain link <br />fence to be installed on corner lot. (Fence should be 3 foot off side street <br />property line). Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02(h)2. <br />6
