<br />verified that this variance were predicated on the new codes. Building <br />Commissioner Conway advised that based on his lot size, he would be permitted <br />an 11 foot high shed and he is asking for 14 feet. Members have no problem <br />with the request. B. Grace moved to grant the variance for Mr. Joseph Kubelko <br />at 4986 Hampton Drive for a 17 square foot variance and 3 foot height variance <br />to construct shed, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. Variance <br />granted. <br />7. Dou las Smith 4976 Devon Drive. <br />Request for variance 1123.12 . Request 2 foot, 8 inch variance for distance <br />between dwellings. (Building permit has been issued). Violation of Ord. <br />87-93, Section 1135.07. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />aclministered to Mr. Smith and his contractor, Mr. Vrabelo The members had <br />seen the site and had no objections to the request. J. Helon moved to grant <br />the variance for pouglas Smith at 4976 Devon Drive for a 2 foot, 8 inch <br />variance for the distance between ciwellings, seconded by B. Grace, and <br />unanimously approved. Var•iance granteel. <br />8. <br />Request j <br />construct <br />dwelling, <br />of <br /> <br />JarYance to, <br />1135.06(a). <br />Chairman Bugala ca:l'led all_ interested parties before tlie Board. The oath? was <br />administered to Mr. Stringer and r1r: Richel, a neighbor who lives across the <br />street a few houses away from this property. Mr. Stringer- explained that he <br />wants to have the house in aTignment with the others on the street. Bui.Tding <br />Commissioner Conway explained that this is a buildable lot, but it will be an <br />unusual construction process. Mr. Richel was eoncerned because,there are no <br />plans for the house on file nor any building permit. He pointed out that <br />there was only going to be about 50 to 75 feet on which he could build the <br />house since the lot goes down into the valley and there is also a creek that <br />goes through the property. He was advised that any strueture would have to <br />meet all city codes except the setback if the variance is granted. rlr. <br />Stringer will explain how he is planning to build the house to Mr. Richel <br />after the hearing. B. Grace moved to grant the variance to Gerald M. Stringer <br />for the vacant property Tocated north of 5783 CoTumbia Roacl for a 25 foot <br />front setback variance to construct a new dwelling, seconded by J. Helon,. and <br />unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />9. New York Hair Design, 24279 Lorain Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request varianee to eliminate 7 foot buffer <br />strip. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1161m10 (e). Request 9 foot variance <br />for width of drive. Violation of Ordo 87-93, Section 1169.09(a). Also request <br />variance to leave the rear portion of the drive and 2 parking spaces unpaved. <br />Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1161.10(a). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Ms Casson, the owner,- and Ms Polis, a friend. Mr. Bugala is <br />concerned that cars will park over the sidewalk. Ms Casson explained that <br />they will pave the rear area in the spring. Building Commissioner Conway <br />stated that he had no record of this parking ever having been installed; that <br />it was a single fami.ly home previously, but the pa.rking area was there.
